Yeah I know, blogs are so 2013. I know you’re probably asking yourself why anyone would want to waste their time on one in 2018. There are so many options, I hear you say. Like FB, Twitter, YouTube, IG and countless other social media sites where one can post their content, so why a blog?
Well, for one, I love reading. Not any (pretentious??) books in particular, but reading in general. I’ve also really, really wanted to have a blog for the longest time, I just kept putting it off. This is it, another item to strike off my to-do list.
I’m also a bit of an introvert so I prefer the anonymity that comes with writing, to social media platforms. That’s not to say I’m not on social media. I have a YouTube channel that I hope will complement this blog. I will post my very first YT video at the end of this post.
On to your next question (that you never asked): what is this blog about? Well, as the name suggests, it is about this and that. Observations I make daily as a Kenyan. I know, it’s probably wise to pick a niche and stick to it, but I want to talk about a lot of stuff.
To your last question now; how long before you abandon this blog and move to the next shiny object? Well, that’s a tough one. I don’t know, honestly speaking. Maybe this is my first and last blog post, maybe 5 years from now I’ll still be posting. Who knows, right? Let’s find out together.
And now, as promised, my first YouTube video!! Watch it and tell me what you think. Subscribe and share, if you feel so inclined. I will most definitely post more (fingers crossed). Okay, that’s it for my first post. Thanks for reading, I hope you’ll keep coming back.
Oh, my name is Steve!!
